Sebastian Vettel hopes to see protégé Mick Schumacher despite a "failed" F1 experience at Ferrari

Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher are preparing to become teammates at the Race of Champions in Sweden. This is the second time that the German duo has joined the event as teammates. Both Vettel and Schumacher get along very well and can often be seen in the F1 paddock.

Just before the start of the event, fans saw both riders jogging in snowy Sweden. While Schumacher and others adorned themselves from head to toe to stay warm, Vettel jogged with them in clothes that looked nothing like winter gear. Fans took to social media to express their feelings towards the German couple at the event.

Sebastian Vettel shares his thoughts on working with Mick Schumacher

As reported by AstonMartinf1.com, Vettel had previously mentioned that he was looking forward to returning to the Race of Champions. He also said he’s looking forward to being back on top with Mick.

“I’m really looking forward to competing in the Race Of Champions again and representing Germany together with Mick,” said Sebastian.

“In the ROC Mexico [in 2019], we came second in the ROC Nations Cup, so our aim is to do better in Sweden. The competition will be very strong, especially from the Nordic riders who have a lot more experience riding on snow and ice than we do.

“It’s very nice to see the many new sustainability initiatives that the Race Of Champions is implementing to become a climate positive event in the years to come,” said Vettel.

Both drivers have little experience driving on ice, so the challenge would be a bit trickier. But it’s amazing to see Aston Martin and Haas F1 drivers teaming up to represent their country.
